Australia is moving to end the use of cheques.

As of the 31st of October 2023 cheques can not be accepted or written.

ClubMulwala will be conducting a phased-in approach which may result in changes occurring earlier than this date. We will advertise the implementation dates.

The change will mean:

• No goods or services will be able to be purchased with a cheque. For example, this will include mailed payments for accommodation deposits, membership renewals or the payment of functions.
• All gaming machine winning payments over $5000 will move to direct deposit only. Patrons will be required to provide bank account details before any payment can be made.

We will keep you updated as to when the changes will take place at the Club and provide as much notice as possible.
