About Willy

Hello my name is Willy Sharp, linedance instructor of Buckles n’ Lace Bootscooters in Country Victoria.
I am a mother of five children and 12 beautiful grandchildren and hopefully many more to come.
I started teaching Linedancing approximately 35 years ago in Sunbury and then soon after in Gisborne.
In 2003 I shifted to Benalla in country Victoria and teach linedancing in Yarrawonga, Wangaratta and Benalla.
My daughter Melisssa and sons Tyrone and Damien also danced with me and we competed in many competitions.
I have enjoyed teaching students as young as 3 years to mature aged students.
I love my country music and regularly go to Tamworth and Country Music Shows around Australia.
My linedancing has taken me to competitions whether competing or judging. I have also linedanced on TV with my younger students to promote Linedancing.
I have been a judge on a Win TV show where linedancers came from all over Victoria to compete.
I have coordinated demonstrations at the Royal Melbourne Show and Moomba Parade and many other venues to promote Linedancing.
One of my most exciting experience was being a Linedancer in the Man From Snowy River at the Rod Laver Arena in 2002 with an audience of ten thousand. ( Where I met my husband Robo)
I have also been interviewed on the Radio regarding Linedancing.
I have been very fortunate to be able to teach linedancing on the beautiful Rhapsody of the Seas’ for 4 years with Cruisin Country and in 2014 was privileged to linedance with fellow students and friends with a horse in the opening event of Equitana.
I am very fortunate and lucky I am married to the most beautiful guy who enjoys linedancing, partner dancing, clogging to country and modern music with me. Yee Ha !! .
